Marsinne Folk Festival will not be a "masked ball" !
Hello everyone, faithful friends of the Marsinne Folk Festival !
Some decisions are hard to take…
We wanted so much to see you again in September for our 29th edition ! Everything and everyone were ready : we had a great program, exceptional artists, exhibitors, restaurateurs, volunteers ...
We sincerely hoped that the Covid-19 health crisis would be nothing more than a bad memory in September, but we have to admit that it will probably not be. Despite our desire to do it, and for public health reasons, we can’t maintain the Marsinne Folk Festival. We care about you, your safety, your health… Indeed, we cannot imagine our festival without human warmth, without hugs, with one meter (or more) distance, with masks and gloves. In these conditions, Folk Festival Marsinne 2020 wouldn’t be… our Folk Festival Marsinne ! Safety measures due to the Covid-19 and our festival definitely don’t fit together…
That is why, and we deeply regret it, we are forced to postpone Folk Festival to September 2021.
But we already welcome you for next year, on the 10th-11th-12th of September 2021.
We are counting on your presence to make the next edition a wonderful one !
We have a special thought for all the artists in this period, with the current crisis that causes so many cancelled events and certainly brought them some hard times…
Thank you for your support and understanding !
Take good care of yourself !

For its 29th edition, the festival will welcome you all the 10th-11th-12th of September 2021 with a rich and varied line-up for children and adults, to listen and/or dance.
In 2019, a moment of discussion/conference presented the MELCHIOR project whose objective is to gather, digitize and make available to the general public documents related to the musical and dance heritage of Wallonia. A great way to showcase our local culture through its hidden treasures.
This year, we also renamed the different dance/concert spaces, which will now be called LEJEUNE, SCHMITZ, MELCHIOR and CHARNEUX,
the names of important figures with regard to the history of our festival and to the Walloon heritage.
