SHILLELAGH

 (FR)

From the meeting of three musicians from Lille, passionate about dance and traditional music, Shillelagh was born. Gabriel Lenoir, Aurélien Tanghe, and Benjamin Macke, all three dancers, bring their musical creativity and knowledge of traditions to the service of dance. Drawing on the various practices acquired over the course of their dances, combining know-how and playfulness, the three companions take you into a musical universe that is uniquely theirs. There are a thousand and one ways to dance, a thousand and one ways to play dance music. Shillelagh plays generous and lively music to lift the dancers, music that makes you tap your feet, get up from your chair, and join the circle.

Concert

GARENNE

 (FR)

Clémence Cognet and Noëllie Nioulou are steeped in baroque music as they are in the popular violin music of the Massif Central. They have therefore taken the liberty of constructing a concert repertoire on baroque instruments, showcasing the fluidity of what appears to be a great musical continuum. The baroque dance melodies respond to traditional laments, the brunettes to the bourrées. Their solid complicity, built on years of playing at dances, gives rise to lively and subtle music, a deep and rich sound. Clémence Cognet: baroque violin and vocals Noëllie Nioulou: baroque violin, viola da gamba and vocalst

Clémence Cognet : violon baroque et chant Noëllie Nioulou : violon baroque, viole de gambe et chant

LES KICKEUSES &  HILDE VAN HEMELRIJCK
(BE)

The Kickeuses take you away with the frenzied playing of Lolita's accordion and Juliette's electrifying flutes, supported by their voices and the stompbox.

Their different musical universes and a love for traditional music from Europe have allowed them to develop a unique language and a particular aesthetic for the duo, full of finesse and energy.

ZORD QUARTET

 (FR)

Dance music, based on unison, stylistic ornamentation, and modality, Zord defines itself as an orchestra of musicians! Or rather, a group of musicians?!

Zord means salamander in Breton. Like it, the quartet does not hesitate to stray from its tunes, even losing sight of them, sometimes at the peril of its life, and in an instant teleportation, return to its melodic burrow.

This species, which primarily feeds on "dañs-tro", develops when satiety occurs,

a poison that enchants the dancers and leads them until dawn.

Bal folk

DUO TANGHE-COUDROY

 (FR)

A guitar and an accordion. Two night birds to make you dance!

A folk dance full of energy, finesse, and connection with the dancers. A friendly and warm moment, with the freshness of spontaneity and the delight of well-crafted music that resonates.

When these two meet for the first time in 2003, at a festival in Belgium, the jam lasts all night. With a Nordic influence, the repertoire is pruned to retain only the main elements, the essentials: the rhythm, the movement, and the pleasure of sharing.!
